Should i sell my X800Pro for the 6800GT

I posted a couple of days back on buying a 6800GT + Decent PSU.

I only got 5 replies.

I dont get any thing more than US $ 500 to spend. Im in CA so i need some trustful words from u ppl cause im moving out of the country and i wont RMA my card from outside the US.

So its $ 500, i want an AGP Leadtek 6800GT. I see newegg selling it for like $ 385.

Now, what about power supply and Tax.

Last time i purshased my X800Pro from Fry's, my $ 420 card shot upto $ 470 something.

I just wana make sure if i can indeed get a Leadtek 6800GT + a good 420 watts+ PSU for $ 500.

Also please recommend some vendor which doesnt piss ppl, since its going to be 1 shot, i wont even check my card if its working, so i hope u guys recommend some good online or other vendors in CA.

Most importantly, do i need a 6800GT, i already have an X800Pro.

Or what about buying a VIVO X800Pro and softmodding into XT PE.

Arr.......... My brain is killing me..Help!!

Why is your brain killing you? The 6800gt orx800pro vivo and power good supply from should be easy enough to get from newegg well within your budget. I see you asking for help, but I don't understand what you want help with.

if you have an x800 pro, and you bought a 6800gt, you would be getting more of the same. keep what you have; its not any faster.

Should i mod my X800 Pro into XT then?? If i manage to succeed, will that reduce the life span of my card.. I do have a zalman Dual Heatpipe installed.

The card already OC's to 565/1120

Still not fast enough for you eh? A successful mod will give you more speed, more than a 6800gt would, and as long as the mod goes well your card will likely last longer than it will be useful for much of anything anyway.
