Should I sell my iPhone yet?

Is the iPhone 5 going to offer something that you can't get with your current iPhone? Wouldn't your face be red if in the end the iPhone 5 offers absolutely nothing compelling over the 4S, and now you're stuck paying a premium for it? I'd say it seems prudent to at least wait until there's some kind of official announcement of features. Given the uptick in using legislation to hobble competitors, rather than coming out with some new device that puts everyone else to shame, I would expect the idea well is already running dry in a post-Jobs Apple. So until you know that the iPhone 5 is going to have Feature X, which is worth the money to you, I'd say it'd be better to wait.

Our iDevices are going to trickle down if/when we upgrade.

One of our current iPhone 4 will go to our daughter and maybe one to my mother-in-law (currently using a 3G). My daughter's iPod Touch (latest Gen) will go to my son. My son's 3GS (using as a Touch - "The iPhouch") may go to my uncle (currently using a "feature" phone).

I also want to see what happens to the 4S, 4 and 3GS that AT&T sells/gives away with new service as we will getting an account for our daughter. If they move everything down a notch, we may be able to get a free iPhone 4 with her service.

In the end, I have to wait what gets announced by Apple and AT&T.

the date for the iPhone 5 is confirmed to be released on the 23rd and revealed on the 7th ?

and yes you should sell it now as when the iPhone 5 is released the value on the iPhone 4 will go down ?

Edit: @Sawyer the iPod Touch 5th Generation is been released along side the iPhone 5 🙂

i'm keeping my iPhone 4 as a backup when upgrading to iPhone 5. just in case the 5 is lost or breaks.
Isn't the iPhone 5 expected to use a new, smaller SIM? If so, I'm not sure you'd be able to get away with putting the new SIM in the iPhone 4.

I think the new one (its not going to be called the 5) will be worth the upgrade. At the very least it should have LTE.

Nice that site shows my 4s 32g for $330, its in perfect shape so if i can get $300 plus for it will be happy.

I think i selected the wrong answer. It now shows $170 for me, not $50. I'm fine with that. Really anything over a hundred bucks. My home button is kinda finicky so i wouldnt feel comfortable selling it on here, but i wouldnt mind selling it to them.
