That's mostly SP only though, I can tell you as an SSD owner I'd say they're pretty over-hyped.
As one myself, I can say they aren't.

Most games I play are MP, so it doesn't matter if I cut 50% off my load times, because I'm still waiting on everyone else, or the server.
Well, if you're in some sort of queue like that, then yeah. I always loved SWTOR's loading screens... 5 minutes long regardless of the hardware you're running...

On the other hand, there are games out there (both SP, MP or both) that are stuttery pieces of junk. SSDs help to alleviate that, although it's case specific.
In the OS eviroment they're amazing, I'd recommend one for that. I personally would never recommend a high density one for games, the difference is very minor expect cost difference, which is quite huge.
See, I repair computers for a living. I'm simply sick of magnetic storage, as waiting for OS installs to complete, data backups to complete... I want them to completely supplant hard drives some day. Of course, that isn't exactly feasible right now, but I can dream, eh?

IMO, W7 installs are quite fast now, but data backups are a PITA.....USB3 and thunderbolt cant have come early enough IMO....Real world usage of I/O isnt that bad until you have to transfer it!

Yeah, our workstation (really, it's just a desktop) uses USB2. I know that feel.
