Should I run in the morning or after work?

Should I get up like 30-60 mins earlier and run in the morning or do it when I get home from work. I find that when I get home from work I am more tired and I dont want to move sometimes, but in the morning, I will have the similar problem of not wanting to get up.

I"d say night. It's rough to get up in the morning and do that for me. I get to where my wrists don't want to function, it's bad.... =/

I dont know about you, but I dont run on my wrists 🙂

whenever you're more likely to do it.

consistency is far more important than whatever tiny benefit you may get from empty stomach AM cardio.

It's best to do it in the morning, preferably before you had anything to eat... your glucose stores would be low, so your body will more likely to use it's bodyfat as fuel. And if you do it intense enough or HIIT, your bodies metabolism will be revved up for the rest of the day.

If you can't do it in the morning though, night is definitely better than nothing.

How can we say? Those are your own problems finding the motivation on when to do it. In terms of which benefits you more, that's very debatable, but not nearly as important as doing it, so I'd just pick a time that is easier to do.

what he said

For me, it was always easier in the morning. That way, I had it out of the way and didn't spend the day making up excuses for not going that night!

I tried running in the morning a few times and I felt much more lethargic and couldn't get into it. I was much more ready to do it in the evening after work because I could run all of that stress out not have to worry about getting back at any particular time.

I run after I get off work. But I've tried several time to do in the morning before going to work. It's hard to get up earlier in the morning to just run. You will have to be more discipline.

It's better to run in the morning. In the evening, you can always go for a brisk walk too. It all depends on you.

Wrong... if you eat a little bit before you run, you will burn much more running+digesting some food in the morning. If I can find the link I will post it. I also read something similar on howstuffworks.com
