should i run a cable to my 360, or is wirless just as good?

I just started playing live again, and I noticed that since I moved my 360 to a different room than the router, it seems more laggy.

Right now I have it connected through my computer, which is connected to my wireless network. (probably my problem)

When i go to speedtest.net my results are:


is there any benefit to running a cable?

Cable will be faster. However, it comes down to the "my car can do 255mph vs governed at 125".

latency is a bigger factor, but even then usually not a factor.

I do this for a living and have debated punching down my wall with ethernet directly, but it's just not worth it.

However, if you have access to a jack then it makes sense to use it on a console. Leave the wireless for iPads, phones and laptops.
