Hi, I've been having some strange problems with this hard drive, an st31000333as cc1f firmware seagate 1tb 7200.11 drive. It worked fine with my xp system, but I recently built a new system and vista wouldn't install at first, and once it was installed I got errors and crashes, as well as a bsod. My hard drive even disappeared from the bios a couple times.
Using Seatools dos, it passed, and since my ram passed memtest, I assumed it was the motherboard and traded it for a different one. Vista wouldn't install on this system either, so I got a different HD which worked perfect.
Now, since seatools doesn't catch any errors, if I try to RMA, will Seagate just send the same drive back? Something really doesn't seem right.
