Should I return my X1600 Pro in favor of 7600 GS?

I got my ATI Radeon X1600 PRO for $199 - $45 = $154. They also have an eVGA 7600 GS for $139 - $50 = $90.

X1600 is DDR2 x 512MB, 7600GS is DDR2 x 256MB. Both 12 pipelines it looks, and both 128 bit it looks.

Would I be better off returning this X1600 Pro for the 7600GS? I got it at Circuit City.

I am getting started playing Battlefield 2, but also want to be able to do decent with photo & video editing.

7600gs is probably better.

if you really want to play bf2 though i'd get a 7600gt at least. depends on the rest i guess. photo/video editing wont make a difference which one you get. but if you were willing to spend $154 anyway for a ati 1600pro , go spend the same and get a 7600gt or 7900gs (well thast about $40 more).

the only ati x16xx card worth getting is probably the 1650xt

Can't tell you which would be better graphicswise, but if price is a consideration, that ATI card is supposed to go on sale for $99 on Black Friday at Best Buy. If you can pricematch it down to $90 (110% price difference) and get the $45 rebate, you'll have yourself a graphics card for ~$45.
