If you have the money, go for it.

i dont care if you might have conflicts or not. by having a roomie you can become friends, drink together, party together, gangbang together. and you learn how to work through small problems which is life.

Of course! Privacy is worth more than that! Unless you're a loner and have trouble meeting and talking to people you should do it.

If it was me, hell no. $500 is a crapload of money, to me... I didn't know who I was gonna get for a roommate last year. He turned out OK, I did my own thing and he did his.

That was completely uncalled for. Seriously, your whole thing is really getting tiresome already.

Oh please - as if his original "gangbang together" comment wasn't as bad.

Okay. Don't mind me. Carry on.

College is rarely about what you learn in class, it's about what you learn out of class. I'd say dont go the single route. You'll undoubtably have more fun with someone else in the room. If nothing else, if it turns out you hate them, at least you'll have good stories to tell.

Wow. I don't doubt it.

People give me sh!t about the stuff I post - I'm just amazed at the HUGE double standard.

$500 is way too much for me. Might as well get an apartment, hmm?

If you don't get along with your roommate, get another one.

You shouldn't get a single. College isn't so much about what you learn in the classroom as it is a prep for real life.

Unless you plan on being a loner and not meeting people unless absolutely necessary, you should get a roommate. A lot of the people I know are good friends with their roommates; the few that aren't have hilarious stories to tell. Hell, the people who are friends with their roommates have even funnier stories.

You don't really know anybody unless you randomly start talking about the Cookie Monster at 2:30 in the morning.

YEAH sign up for a single or apartment, as an RA I'm sick and tired of these kids freaking out all the damn time about their roommate.
