Should I replace my P180B with a Nine Hundred?

I don't like how I can only have a single intake fan in the P180 because I have hard drives in the lower area. Even if I didn't, the bottom area is closed off, so the lower fan wouldn't do much.

Have you seen the P-190? Its still being developed but more pics of it are leaking out lately. Just do a google search.

Just run your components on a freaking workbench if you worry about cooling - open air FTW

isn't the P190 the antec 900.I'm planning to get that too.It looks good enough and the price is right and if one PSU can't cut it i could put another one in.
I'm think 1 650W zeus from silverstone and 1 500W efficient PSU from someone.
If cooling is ur concern by all means get the antec 900.One big exhaust fan on the top of ur case awaits.

Monster cube case?

LoL! It's 18"x18"x18"...

I think the OP is looking for a case that breathes. Undoubtedly the P190 is infinitely better than a P180B for moving air -- after all, the P190 was designed for gamers that are running SLi/Cross-Fire setups. However, nothing can match the U2-UFO, et al, in this regard!

By all means, follow the link above... ;)

Um...

Technically speaking, acegarda, misstated the situation.

Yes, the U2-UFO Horizon has three holes in the front, but it's pre-drilled for a Thermochill 120.3 radiator. Generally speaking, you'll want to run 6-120s in a push-pull config with a Thermochill, so that's 6 intakes, not 3 -- however, my original idea for mounting the U2-UFO Opti-1203 mobo horizontally was to accommodate large air-coolers, such as the Tuniq Tower 120, so...

Anyway, it doesn't make much difference, if you don't have the money... :)

Why do you need more fans? The 180 has two different fans pulling air out of the case (plus the power supply fan does the same thing), so even though there may not be a fan in front, there is lots of air flow in. Also, the lower fan is right in front of the hard drives and will help pull air in right over top of your drives.

I would prefer more than one intake. Maybe I'll just look for a higher rpm fan for the front.

Well, I like the G70 Goliath PerformancePCs has but its really pricey (Its a modded Lian Li). But as far as case design and airflow (in and out) goes that one has my eye. Those 250mm fans are sweet!

Why? The case has excellent ventilation as is. Plus, the stock fans have three speed positions; on high, they move a LOT of air.

They don't seem to move alot on high. I can barely feel the airflow from outside the case. To me the "H" setting is more like Low.

I understand those fans are pretty obnoxious on High. Do you have the fans connected directly to +12V or to some stupid "fan" tap off the PSU or to mobo connectors. You are supposed to connect those fans directly to a drive power connector and use the speed switches on them to control the fan speeds. If you hook them to the "fan" connector from the PSU they will alll be controlled by the PSU temp - so most of the time they would barely be running. I'll hold off on the "D" word (until you report back) as there is always the off chance that all the fans are defective. Wouldn't want to make the snap judgement that you got that post count hanging around the "small-bus" sections (OT, P&N) too much... ;)

Connected them to regular 4-pin connectors. They don't seem loud to me on high. I just tried it. I can feel the airflow difference between L-M-H. Low is almost nothing, and high is still really quiet.

People also said the 120mm fan in the Tuniq Tower was loud on High, but I find it almost quiet.

With all due respect Jumpem, your idea of what is loud and what is quiet is very different from most people. Regardless, the important thing regarding a computer case is the temp. of the various components inside. The P180 has excellent thermal properties so you can rest comfortably that all is well. Don't judge the temps based your opinion of how much air is comming out when you place your hand by the outlet. Measure the temps, don't guess.

I ordered a Nine Hundred.
Was between the P180B/P190/900/CMStacker 830.

I think the P180/P190 looks to much like a minifridge.

Purchased a 900 for my core2duo rig. Very solidly built case, but i've always used cheap pop-can aluminum quality cases in the past so these feels bulletproof compared to those. The 200mm fan on top is huge. I have yet to power it up, waiting on an 8800GTS still. The drive bays and fan placement are all very nice, the cable routing is also a nice feature. I'll give more input once I get some power running through it.

My 900 arrived today.
IMO it looks alot better in person than in the photos. The 200mm fan seems bigger than 200mm.. it looks huge in person.

I'm a fan of function over style, I like how it has no drive bay door. Its edgy, yet is still lowkey with its black coloring.
I'm so tired of silver fanboy looking cases that look like a 13 year old testosterone kid designed them. This thing could sit next to an entertainment system if you wanted to do that. I dont miss aluminum either, as I prefer the strong cases over cutting some weight. My Lanboy feels like a popcan, and I dont think thats really necessary (I'm not that weak.. I can carry an extra 5-10lbs when I move my case).
In fact, the lanboy itself feels scary until you put your hardware in it.. which is seemingly where all the structure/strength comes from..

And from what reviews show, this particular case runs cooler than even free-standing hardware.
Thanks to no drive door, it doenst look like a refridgerator like some cases do.

Like I said its about as edgy looking (like something out of Doom4) as you can get without looking goofy. The storage space is holding my Ipod just perfectly, now I can charge that without it sitting on my desk (I like a clean empty desk).

When I move to Core2Quad in 2007, I'll probably still use this case.

I'll be using all the 120mm fans (5 total) and the 200mm fan of course. Assembling later tonight after work.
I ran home to grab the case from the DHL man. :D
