Should I replace my 6800nu with a 7900GS?

The 7900GS for $150 - 12% reward zone coupon seems like a great deal. I could also sell my 6800nu for around $80 or so. That would make it cost $52. That just seems to good to pass up even though I am not doing to much gaming right now and had planned on waiting until a mid range DX10 card game out (Feb.?). My feeling is I should buy this card now because if I wait until Feb. my current card will be worth say $60 that would mean spending the same I would spend now ($52) I would be hunting for a DX10 card arond for $112. Some how I doubt a DX10 card at $112 will be faster than a 7900GS. Thoughts?

A 7900GS will be twice or three times faster in modern games than a 6800nu. You should go for it because you would be waiting til spring for new low/mid range from nVIDIA. With 112, i dont think it will be enough to buy a 8600GT since it will most probably have a MSRP of $199 or higher.

Well, even if they came out in January there won't be DX10 capable cards near $112 until later next year.

That 7900GS is a good card to last you until reasonably priced DX10's come out... whenever that is. :p
