So I think I found a pretty good place to rent. The exterior is freshly painted, though I don't really care for the poop brown tan color, and it looks like the yard is in pretty good shape with some new grass and shrubs. However, I'll probably just rip out the shrubs and burn them in the front yard because I don't really care for them.
The interior is the only bad thing and what would best be described as some sort of malnourished dungeon. For one, it seems like the previous owners had a cardboard fetish. There was even cat litter in the corners and the whole place smelled a bit like formaldehyde. Really the only good thing about the inside was the new faux blinds on all of the windows. At least the landlord said I could have those!! In reality, I'll probably throw those on top of the burning bushes unless I can remove the previous owner aroma.
Best of all, the land lord seems like a really cool dude (he's only like 30 or something!). He even offered brand new carpet when I move in and to repaint the townhouse white(it is currently an ugly poop brown tan).
Anyway, the townhouse is a 2bdr, 2 ba for about $1200 a month around north Dallas. What do you guys think?
