Okay I have a crap motherboard (a7n8x......won't do a hair over 200 fsb).
as you can see, I have a raid card(not on the mobo).
So if I buy a new nforce2 mobo, would I need to reinstall windows?

I know deep down that I really should, but omfg, I dread going through windows, and disabling all of those "services".

Since when did the a7n8x come to be a crap board?? Inform me on this. If its the same chipset you should be safe to not reinstall. If you are cautions just run a repair installtion.

ah, thank you gentelmen.
Why do I ALWAYS miss the simple solution(repair install).
I need stop going to step 12, and focus on step 1.

oh and MY mobo is crap.
Grrr.....I just got some mushkin pc3200 2-2-2 special edition ram.
I would like very much to giv my bh-6 a very heavy workout🙂, and with my current mobo, that ain't gonna happen

I would recommend uninstalling any antivirus, 3rd party remote control software and cd burning software before you switch mobos and perform the repair. Filter drivers used by these can cause the repair to crash.
