Should I quit Allstate?

Last Friday night, my car was parked at a park behind a SUV. On Saturday morning, at my parking spot, I noticed a spherical dent on the left side of the front bumper. The repair estimate is $400 and my deductible is $500. So I won't repair it with Allstate. I thought that this would be considered as vandalism and that I would not pay all the deductible. I am located in Florida. Do you think that Allstate is fair? If no, what other car insurance would do better in case the same thing happens?

They would all be the same in this instance. You can get a $0 deductible but small claims will end up killing your rates.

If your deductible is higher than the cost of repair, then yes, any insurance company would make you pay for it yourself. That's entirely fair.

You could choose a lower deductible, but again, any claim activity (even if they don't pay) is likely to ultimately affect your rates.

Well I don't know about Allstate but at least with State Farm, if you get into a collision in a parking lot, it's considered Comprehensive but it's "collision" if it's on the street whether parked or not.
