As the title states I'm wondering if I should place aluminum mosfet coolers on my xfx 9800gt. It shipped with the junkiest heatsink that I think is a hold over from the 7600 and 8600 series because it's so small. It doesn't cover all the mosfets I'm assuming and I'm upgrading my GPU cooler. I've heard conflicting information on whether these are necessary or even do anything. Wondering if someone here could clear things up for me.
I'm also not sure which parts are considered mosfets and which aren't. The only thing I really know is where the GPU core and 8 memory chips are. My older 7800gt had a large aluminum sink that covered all the mosfets however I took it off when I replaced the stock cooler with a VF900. It worked for a 2 years after that and to my knowledge still does, at the time I was not aware that the mosfets needed sinks on them.
If someone could clear this up for me and/or point out which pieces are the mosfets and if I need to buy extra sinks for them.

These Zerotherm ZH100 sinks are what I had in mind as they get good reviews and are low cost.
I want to overclock my 9800gt to at least 700/1000 but the stock cooler brings my temps to 90C at load with those settings. Would the mosfet sinks make any difference or improvement?
