Should I move to Australia?

Ok im from Sydney Australia, and some of the things ive read here are all BS lol.
Crime rate is absolutely nothing compared to the US, murders, kidnapping anything hardly EVER happens here.

And yet the crime rates as have been shown are in fact higher then the states in many, rapes and assaults as a example:

If I were young and single Hell yes. They have Holdens which are muscle car hot rods, even the ute. Great barrier reef. Outback. Rain forests. low crime. Happy people who are not terrified of losing healthcare, job, of their neighbors, shadow. etc. I went to saudi for two years with my job and would have given anything for Oz instead.

BTW you're only going to be this liquid at this time in your life. After kids, houses, and everything it's hard just to take off to another country too many roots in the ground. Do it or you may regret it later.

It's not complicated, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne are all huge cities with a very high standard of living and mostly law abiding and civilized people, if that sounds appealing, then move for x amount of years......it's really no different to asking should I move to Chicago, Montreal or any western city with 2million+ in the greater region.

The old muscle cars are expensive and as rare as hens teeth, but you do see a number of modern muscle cars, but at $1.50 a litre for petrol/gas, not that many.

Some of the talk in this thread portrays Australia as a sheep farm stuck in the 70's, but there's 3 megacities here+Adelaide and Perth which have about a 1million people living in each.

Depends on the city, and what u deem as comfy.
35k's what you need to live by yourself in a small unit in the outer burbs of Brisbane, and every 5k extra is spending money or upgrade money.

Both Melbourne and especially Sydney are more expensive, but the pay is also higher.

That said, there's people who live on pensions and unemployment at $275-$350 a week, a long way from $2000.

Prisoners per capita we're at #73. So when it comes to crimes that are jail worthy we're doing well.

Anyone who's lucky enough to get an opportunity to live here should jump on it.

Yeah, cost of living is high. Yeah, houses are crazy $. Yeah, there's heaps of critters that want to kill you.

Nowhere's perfect.

If you're going to be getting $70k+ you'll be sweet.

I had a very smooth 3.5ltr V6, I sold it as it was costing me $100 a tank for 420km{which I'd do per week approx}, I bought a 1.4ltr car and it cost me $52 for 460km hahahhahaaha.

The worst I've ever seen is the occasional red backed spider, and I've lived in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Australia's dangerous critters aren't a problem in the major metro area's.....taxi drivers represent more of a threat, lol.

I'm just pointing out something very simple, ie, one doesn't have to worry about dangerous insects/creatures in the metro area's, of course common sense still applies, but the idea that Australia's venomous critters are a negative is absurd these days.
