The problem is you can't prove anything and since he hasn't been diagnosed there's not much you can do. I doubt saying something will do anything.

So..... how does the OP know?

A psychopath takes pride in being able to fool people, but if he doesn't tell anyone about it, he'll be alone with his knowledge and psychopaths are like others when it comes to somet things, they want to share with someone they trust, unfortunantly, psychopaths aren't that good in judging who you can trust.

At least that's my experience.

The thing is, that's a true psychopath.

They aren't all that common. Could this be the OP's friend? Perhaps.
He could be one of the scariest motherfuckers to hold a rifle, even though he's "on your side."

But he could also just have a few screws loose, a little heavy on the glory-seeking viewpoint, and generally holding absolutely zero use for public display of emotion.
I've known a few of those individuals - some are now officers (loved in the program, even), some are still training to become one.
Sometimes the program can actually take these cases and turn them into competent bodies, sometimes they wash out, sometimes they are just so god-damned retarded they are basically pushed out when their contract is up and are stuck at low ranks for years.

Many competent, capable soldiers are the opposite of "normal", according to society. But in the right environment they almost get to leave behind the world they knew and are given a chance to shine.

At least that's my take. I can't say this guy is, or is not, a danger to the military. Let's hope he has competent leaders who can see issues before they occur, or push him out.

Yeah, this is basically him.

Sometimes he was genuine about his emotions but there were many times that I could tell he was fake excited and what not...like forcing the emotions.

Plus hes really emotional on both ends to the extreme...he is either very happy go lucky or hes completely emo and pissed off at everything and everyone...like so to the point that you cant even talk to him without having to worry about him snapping and shit.

Plus, and I didnt mention this before...but even as my best friend he ROBBED my house 1 month after my fiance was hit and killed by a car...ONE MONTH...robbed my house, my best friend. I only found this out however a few months later after I moved from Texas back to Atlanta.

So the guy is definitely crazy...I just dont know if I should at least let the Army know...cause if the Army psych test is ANYTHING like the Navy's (which Ive taken) it won't tell them a goddamn thing...those things are so easy to fake and get "correct"...I just dont want him killing his squad members or becoming completely kill crazy or some shit. DEFINITELY a few loose screws...like, for sure!

Maybe the test is easy for you, but a real nutter might just rip the thing to shreds, eat it and proceed to puke it up on the proctors lap. If an atoter with sub par IQ and a penchant for bears who touch children peering out of corners can tell he's crazy, what makes you think the military can't?

Just kiddin about that last part.

It surprises me that people actually believe this to be true to this day....

The short answer is no.

A psychopath never ends up in any psych ward, he's a smart feller, smarter than most or he wouldn't have wife and kids thinking he's an ok guy and everyone around him thinking he's a good man.

His deal is that he doesn't care, he has absolutely no regard for human life except that it might make him feel more powerful to take life, to torture, to bring pain and to fool people that he's actually sad about what he "had" to do.

He's not crazy per definition, he'll never let anyone know he's crazy and he'll always have an excuse for his actions that seems rational for everyone else. See he might not be able to feel the emotions, but he knows better than you or me how to fake them.

this is why many CEO's are clinically diagnosable as psycopaths.

They are more common than you can imagine, you probably know quite a few of them yourself, he's the guy who isn't afraid to fight but always take it a bit too far, if you were not around he'd take it even further.

I'm not normal by anyones standards, i think, but i am capable of judging right from wrong even when there are reasons that could make me go further than i should. There is a difference between controlling yourself because of the thought of what others will think or what your punishment might be or doing it because you know that going further would be wrong. I have that inherent knowledge and that is probably why i'm considered a good man by most people who know me.

A psychopath doesn't have that inherent stop and to make matters worse, he'll definently inherently hate everyone who is a superior of him because in his world view, he's god.

A sociopath is different because he will submit, but he will not do it because of inherent empathy or knowledge of right and wrong, he'll do it to oblige others.

I've met both kinds plenty in my day, none of them are alive now because it doesn't really matter if YOU think you are a god, what kills you will still kill you.

None of the sort in my team and we work with pilots from other nations (actually pretty much only the US) and that's it.

If you are serious, drop me a PM.

Psych tests don't weed out psychopaths.

As his wife didn't know, if this recruit failed to notify the U.S. Army that he had a wife and child, he could get jacked up for fraudulent enlistment.

Should I try calling the local recruiters office or something and let them know that he has major issues?
They will not care. The recruiters have a current assignment, which is to recruit. Its not their job to play psychologist or psychiatrist in determining if the candidate recruit is sane or not.

BTW, if the person got through MEPS then who are you to say he isn't candidate worthy?

WoW!

With friends like that you may do better with enemies.
