Should I leave negative or neutral?

Won auction on 4/24, paid within 30 minutes of auction ending. Sent a note with PayPal payment asking to be notified when item shipped (from city 60 miles away). Waited a few days, nothing. Send another e-mail, no response. Waited a few days, nothing. Sent an e-mail, no response.

Finally got an e-mail response on 5/1 saying that the item had shipped; it arrived today (5/2). Also, the auction had a picture showing the item in its original packaging, all I received was the item.

I'm leaning towards neutral, unless someone can convince me to go positive or negative.

I'd leave a neutral. The lack of response to your emails was probably very stressful, but if your product works, I'd leave a neutral.

Also, if they notified you on 5/1 that it shipped, and it arrived on 5/2, it might have been shipped a few days before, and the seller just didn't have time to let you know about it.

only valid bitching is the lack of packaging.

I agree though, i hate when there is no communication.. but for eBay I don't think it should affect the feedback much. some people have lives / bad internet connections

Seems Neutral to me, except maybe for the packaging _if_ the description said "new in box" or "includes all packaging" or similar. People who aren't handy with a digicam use stock photos all the time.
