So I ordered a part for my dishwasher, it was advertised as used but in good working condition, now 6 days later the seller refunds my paypal with a note "sorry your part was damaged"...WTF, shouldn't this person inspect the part BEFORE listing it?. Now I've got to find another and be without my dishwasher for another week..

Ugh, can't you make that decision yourself? You are an adult, aren't you?

Yes, I just wanted opinion. Folks here post questions about what to name their cat for christ's sake. Anyway, on the plus side he did refund without hassle but on the other didn't inspect part (switch, which is easily inspected) before listing it..

I wouldn't, just part ways IMO.

Because you'll end up dealing with retaliatory feedback, more than likely.

Well, is there still an option to leave a neutral then?

Not as a seller last time I checked

You leave a positive or don't leave anything at all.

That's not to say that people can just buy, not pay, and run; there are a few protections in place against this.

Why 6 days later though? Did it say in there listing they have up to 6 days to ship item?

He probably has a sloppy inventory system and thought he had the part but didnt, tried to find the part somewhere else for those 6 days and couldn't.

I wouldn't. It happens and at least he handled it properly and didn't jerk you around.

Another good point, I should have known about the "accident" like 1-2 days after they got paid. Now wifey's really pissed, it's gonna be another week or so before I can get her up and running again..

You could, but I wouldn't.

Now I would if he HAD sent it... it is annoying that it took him 6 days to notice though...

I dunno. I mean you have nothing to lose... except he could send a bomb to your doorstep

Considering it isn't something you really need to warn other buyers about...I'd probably save the karma and just let it go.

Consider another path ... the path of least resistance. Go buy a new dishwasher. They're usually inexpensive and you'll make wifey happy.

Nah, all it needs is a part, I re-ordered it already. The "inexpensive" ones are the basic models, no thanks..

i think it shouldnt be negative.. but more neutral.

Not good nor bad..

The seller did double check and notice it wasnt working, b4 mailing it out.
Which saves you a return fee.

if u had to pay the return fee, then hellz yeah, negative all the way.
