Pays your $$ and take your chances, some cats are adorable, loving companions, others, not so much. I've seen plenty of damage to carpets and furniture caused by cats.

Both of those cats were free, basically rescued from where my wife boards her horse.

We have all laminate in the house, keep one patch of carpet in the Florida room for them to scratch on, they have hit a couch rarely.

I've had Huskies/Samoyeds in the past, had one almost totally ruined a front porch on a house years ago, and ever dog I've had in the past has always done tons more damage.

I've never had a problem with a cat, the wife and I have had many over time, she even had a Samoyed once.

People that try to train a cat like a dog is usually a big problem, they get resentful and pissed off.

They do not respond to things in similar ways a lot of the time.

Seems like he's trained your wife to leave tasty things out to destroy. Eliminate her and you'll be best pals again.

I'm always amused reading back through the old threads when he was small and cute and you still liked him.

Just keep him locked in a cage. That's what i did with my cat who decided to use everything but his litter box to crap and piss on.

I had two rats as pets and I thought they were both females but then one day they started playing leap frog and failing at it, so few weeks later I've got like 20 rats and they were cool and all but the dad started to get all shitty with me so I fed him some decon.

I thought it would kill him pretty quickly but after coming home day after day and him getting worse and worse and shitting all over I decided to put him out of his misery, I put him in a shoe box and hooked it up to my cars exhaust for like 10 minutes. I thought he was dead but when I went outside later I heard noise coming from the trash can so at that point I was like "damn this thing won't fucking die" so I doused him in gas and lit him on fire.

Well then the mom was cool for awhile but then she started getting shitty with me and the babies were slowly getting eaten so I was like "allright, you guys gotta go". I knew if I sent them back to the pet store they'd just be fed to snakes so I found a giant metal box thing I had and I drilled some tiny holes in it. I filled the bathtub up with water and then submerged it, it took awhile for it to fill to the top with water but then they started scratching all frantically trying to get out (there was like 14 of em at this point the mom had ate the rest) and then after about a minute or two they stopped moving. So that was the end of that.

I forget why I typed all that.

Misread title as 'for his shins', was disappointed until I realized how accurate my misread actually was. Maybe he will repent of his shins?
I will now +2 myself.

OK, this thread started badly and has now devolved even further.
