Should I keep my WD 36GB Raptor?

I am going to be buying a Maxtor 300GB 16MB SATA drive very soon, maybe today. I wonder if I should keep my 36GB Raptor drive. This is the first edition Raptor that I bought in 2003. I wonder if this Raptor is faster than the new Maxtor drive? If so, should I keep it as my primary drive? Will I get any performance boost? I was thinking of getting the 74GB Raptor, but I don't want space to be an issue in the near future. Thank you for any help.

Btw, I have an Abit NF7-S 2.0 mobo with built-in SATA RAID, but I don't want to have a RAID array.

Did you read the reviews on storagereview? The Raptor is still faster than the Maxtor w/ 16MB cache. Use the Raptor as OS drive and Maxtor as storage.

Thanks a lot. Does anyone know of any tests in which the 36GB Raptor and the DM10 were included?
