Should I keep my old hardware or throw it away?

I have a old Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB, DDR 3 two sticks of 8 GB of ram total, and Crucial 128 GB SSD.

if you wont use them again you should sell them. 8 GB DDR3 could still catch ~$50 here.

If you have a console, you could put the SSD in it. I put one in my PS3 when I had it. Did improve some loading times, though not as much as in a PC since the sata connection is I think 1.5 GBit/s or 3 GBit/s can't remember.

If you don't want to sell them, the forums also has a Freebies thread in the Hot Deals section where you can give them away.

That stuff isn't all that old. I'd either sell it or give it away in the Freebies thread before throwing it away.

How would freebies work? People would still be paying for the shipping right?

See, there are such things as dumb questions. ;)

Gaming on a GTX-770 to this very day with few complaints.

Def sell or give away that stuff don't just throw away. :)

If you wanna get really lazy, have somebody send you a self addressed box so all you gotta do is stuff the stuff into the box and drop it off?

That's better than the brand new machines we recently got at work lol.

Seriously, who the hell deploys a brand new machine with only 4GB of ram these days. My workplace does, that's who.

My boss tries to do the same thing. He said that 4GB is enough for anyone. I'm like uhhh last time we refreshed was 2009 and they had 4GB.
