Should I keep my 2005W or wait for the next deal?

On the 19th I ordered the 2005W 20.1" Widescreen from Dell. Yesterday a deal comes out that makes the monitor $40 cheaper...but I miss out. I get a confirmation that my 2005W from the 19th has shipped. As soon as I ordered the monitor I sold my 17" LCD locally...so right now I am monitorless

Desktop (sorry 56kers)

..do I "return to sender" in hopes of a better deal? Or should I just keep it?...

Im thinking that there will be another deal for the same price as the 21st or maybe even cheaper..

As long as it doesn't keep you from participating in the Night Crew.

I paid $500 for mine used about a week before all the big deals for it hit. Sometimes you're the bug, sometimes you're the windshield.

I dunno... only you can answer that question... I'm starting to have second thoughts on picking up these 2405FPWs, but only because I have a nagging suspicion that Dell is going to make a 3005FPW in the next 6 months.. but hey, at $850 each, I got / am getting my money's worth, besides, I can always pass them on to someone else for $700ish when the 30" versions come out. By the way, I got my first 2005FPW for $560, so anything less than that is a deal if you ask me.

I havn't heard any rumors about a 3005w...got a link?

The really hot deal makes it closer to $70 cheaper for me. I'm debating as well,
but since its probably arriving this afternoon I might just keep it.

That's why after a big purchase I try not to visit HD nor click on HD looking threads for a while. Buyers remorse is a bitch.

Is your current LCD ok, no problems at all?

Ask yourself is it worth the hassle? Only you know the answer.

If it makes you feel any better I paid $486 and could have saved $100 yesterday 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

I won't get it until next week so I don't know if its problem free yet. Im tempted not to open it and send it back..but everyone says why bother.

Worth the hassle? Yea, the cheapness runs deep and it might bother me a little knowing that I could get the monitor quite a bit cheaper if I just wait it out. Then again...watching DVDs on that beautiful 20.1" widescreen may make me forget all my troubles... 😀
