Should I Install the NVIDIA Audio Driver?

One of the drivers in the nForce Unified Driver is the NVIDIA Audio Driver. If I leave this driver checked when I install the nForce Unified Driver then the install includes a step where it says "Please wait while Microsoft audio components are installed...".

But after the nForce Unified Driver is installed and the computer restarts, I'm left with a device conflict for the Multimedia Audio Controller. To get rid of this, it looks like I should install RealTek audio drivers.

What is the audio driver in the nForce Unified Driver for? Do I need it at all for a MSI K8N Neo Platinum motherboard?

Thank you!

It depends what you use your system for.

You may get better performance for gaming with the nVidia audio because it uses less CPU.

If you listen to music, the Realtek drivers have better fidelity but need a bit more CPU.
