God Bless Tax Returns!

I've read some good things about this monitor, and it's at BB now for about $280 after a rebate. I am spending my share of the money we got on a monitor and a new receiver, so it's gonna have to be under 300, otherwise I would go with the Samsung 900NF. But I am upgrading from the HP monitor my original computer came with. Sound like a good deal?

The A90 image quality is OK, although the dot-pitch is a bit high (.26, I think). The thing about the A90 is it's a retail-only item; ViewSonic made it just for Best Buy, CompUSA and a few others, so to keep the cost down, they decreased the specs a bit (like that .26). The one I had worked fine until one day it gave up the ghost - no sparks, pops or smoke, just died. Turns out there was some careless welding in the power supply.

All in all, if you must keep it under $300, you're probably right to get the ViewSonic. And, it has a three-year parts/labor.
