should i go to the gym tonight?

I have started this new workout at the gym, upper body one day, cardio next, lower body etc. etc

Today is cadio day but after yesterdays lower body workout some muscle are well very sore, especially after doing Barbell Squats, which was the first time i done that specific exercise.

So do you think i should let it rest or just go to the gym and do light walking or the eliptical machine?

I actually feel much better when I do light cardio the day after an intense legs workout. Helps stretch out the muscles.

i'm going to the gym tonight, hence you should go to the gym tonight.

i did delts/back yesterday.

I figure i could do the eliptical machine but running no way.. regular walking is already hard. I have lots of soreness on the hamstrings section.

Cardio is way underrated and should be one of the things you should be doing MOST. I do weights etc. after stretching and cardio when I'm hot and drenched in sweat. That's when it really counts IME.

once you start making an excuse to not go, it gets easier to not go the next time. then easier, then easier. eventually you stop going all together.
