Should I go for this laptop?

a thinkpad
1.8ghz
60gb 5400rpm
1gb ram
s-video output

not so good things:
it is XGA, not SXGA+
1 year warranty (anyone can verify this from ibm website? seller told me warranty is 1 year, but I think it may be 3 years)
onboard video
no fingerprint reader

for only $1000
