Should I go above 2.9v with my new OCZ memory?

You can push for 2-3-2-5. Don't push higher than 2.9. I am running 2.78

No reason to push for 2.9 IMHO anyways.

welcome to the club
I also do not get 2-3-2-5@400mhz @ 2T

Sounds like a bunch of us are in an infected batch.

I'm RMA'ing as we speak.

I have the SAME ram and can not run stable at 2-3-2-5 1T

I agree with Gagan - we must of gotten a bad batch.

3-3-3-8 works fine for the time being.
Either you run DDR333 @ 2-3-2-5(Works fine)
Or you run 3-3-3-8 @400mhz I'm doing the latter for now

I'm curious to see how this turns out - I never could get the stock rated timings out of my mushkin 2x512 (2-2-2-5) and so I sent mushkin an email about it and never got a response. I coulda RMA'd them, but it was only off by maybe 2-3-3-7 and so I didn't really see the point. Not like I'd be able to notice any real difference...

Agreed! I think they say about 2-3% of a difference...if that.

For me, I guess it's more of a matter of principle.

I'll keep testing and let you guys know if I am able to do any better.

Quick1,

What FSB are you running the RAM at? These sticks won't respond to voltage above 2.75-2.8v so upping the voltage wouldn't really help.

yea i get the same problem (i think) i have the same 2gb ram kit in my DFI board, raised voltage to 2.8 in bios but smartguardian shows 2.84, ocz'swarrant is up to 2.8, did i just void ocz's lifetime warranty? and i just wanted to have 200mhz @ 2-3-2-5... no overclocking

My set of 2GB OCZ Plats don't like high voltage, I get much better results using lower voltages around the 2.7V area.

You should be able to at least achieve stock speeds, which is 2-3-2-5-1@ 200MHz. I'm running 2-3-2-5-1 @ 208MHz myself, as these sticks don't overclock too well.

JohnAn2112: I'm not in front of my PC right now, but I can check it tonight and see. I know FSB is 267 x 9 and I think I'm using a memory divider of 4/3 or DDR333, but not positive on the divider. I got the settings from Gogar's website after doing the "Isolate and Consolidate" procedure.

Ok?part of my problem is I?m running my memory ?out of spec?. I did not realize this was happening. On boot up, bios says the memory is running a 222MHz. I thought I was using the right divider to keep at or near 200MHz. I believe Gogar?s site recommended this speed (based on what I input) because the memory would o/c to this speed when isolated. I guess I need to tighten up the timings and redo that part of the procedure. I will experiment with the lower voltages as well.

"ocz'swarrant is up to 2.8, did i just void ocz's lifetime warranty?"

Oops! Didn?t realize that OCZ only warranties up to 2.8V.
