i've always wanted to get the most update product.. always getting the lattest patch...demo...ect. i have winME and im wondering if installing 2k would be a good or bad disition...

is win2k harder to use?
i hear all about this "loging in as the admin" blah stuff.. do you have to do that stuff?

what are the pros and cons of Win2k...

sorry for all the questions.. i would just like some info on win2k.. thank you

I would say stick w/ ME only because i'm not too sure about a voodoo 4's performance under win2k . But other than that, consult www.ntcompatible.com for compatibility reference for your games and hardware as well as applications

Well it really depends on what you use youre computer for. If youre just an average user, and WinME is working fine for you atm(like not crashing a whole lot) then there really is no reason to change.

Win2K is basically just a more stable, secure version of Windows with bunch of added configuration options and networking support features. You will need to set up a single administrator account upon installing it, but its no hassle at all. You just put in user name and password each time you boot and youre set. Post back about what you use youre comp for mostly so we can help decide if its really worth it.

k thanks... i just saw people at a lan party useing it and it seemed pretty similar to WinME in interface that i would think i wouldn't have trouble with it.. but if there is hardware problems with it.. i might just stick with ME
