Should I give my P4 2.4b away for something else?

My brother is getting ready to go to school and needs a computer. I was thinking of getting him an AMD setup but then wondered if I should just give him my P4 2.4b & Epox 4g4a and get myself something new and faster.

Any suggestions as to what I should do?

It's always better to get something newer and just give your brother the old one. Tell him it's been fully tested
