Should I get this 1700+ ?

After reading the excitment of the amd 1700+ OC 😀
Went for some shopping.
A Shop replied me the detail of the chip - "DLT3C and JIUHB (OEM)"
Is this a TBred B or A ?

See if you can't get the week of production info from them, I think it could go either way with that information.

someone told me that JIUHB means = B without looking at the week of the production.
Correct me if i wrong.

Yes.. this is a TBred B... because of the B at the end. Killrose mentioned the week of production because certain weeks seem to produce better chips. My chip is a 2003 8th week production chip (0308) and does 2.002 Ghz at 1.55 Volts (11x180mhz) but i konw that 0302, 0310 are better production weeks. At any rate.. almost all TBred B 1700+'s overclock well.

Pay a few extra bucks for the one at Excaliberpc.com. It will probably get you 2300MHz and is a guaranteed stepping (1.5v 310)

I would have to agree. I have gotten 7 1700's from newegg, all of them are "A". So I ordered the one from excapiberpc and got a very sweet "B" that is running at 2.2ghz at the moment. It is a week 7.

I just got one from newegg with DUT3C and JIUHB markings. It's currently running at 2 gigs at default voltage and hits around 33 degrees while gaming. That's fast enough for me.

What a bargain!

I ordered the chip last Thursday and it's prodution week is 0307. I'm running it on an Epox 8RDA with Mushkin ram. Everything went smooth and it's running great.

I m thinking which motherboard i should go for it..
ASUS A7N8X or Epox 8RDA or SOLTEK 75FRN2-L.. (of course it is for overclocking the 1700 😀)
give me some advice guys .

I'm using the SVC GC-68 Spoonss with a YS tech fan and radio shack thermal paste. Ya I know I'm not hardcore as some of the people on this board but I'm happy getting over a 500 mghz increase with ease and not spending alot of cash. And quite surprised as well.
