Should I get the SBLive! with the KT7-RAID?

I've heard some horror stories about this card and motherboard combo. Can you generally get it going if you know what you're doing?

yea it'a alot better than teh MX300, just install your live drivers b4 you install teh highpoint drivers

I've had absolutely no problems with any of mine! Got them in PCI slot 3.

Yes if you want quality sound because the MX300 will give you nothin but grief.

I have the KT7 and SB Live and no problems here.

No problems here, except mine isnt the RAID, I am using all 6 PCI sockets, so it must be able to work OK

I can't comment about compatibility with the KT-7...

But the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card, kicks @ss all over the SBLive!

I've owned each of the big three (SBLive, MX300, and Santa Cruz)... and the Santa Cruz is what's staying in my machine.

I'm looking at the SBLive! Value, so I imagine this card is more expensive anyway? I want excellent compatibility as well.

Why do you say this card is so much better?
