The ram should still work. I'm not sure how big of a difference there is between 1333 and 1600, but for only $30 it wont hurt anything.

Free choice is a thing given to each of us . Its bad enough that men try to suppress that which was given freely. But why do you remove that gift from yourself? If this is what YOU want it matters not what anyone here thinks . Set yourself free and follow your hearts desire.

I like this.

Can anyone tell me if this RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ct_id=0365861? will work on this motherboard http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0365861

The ram says its built for Intel, but its $13 cheaper than any other 8gb RAM on newegg. And looking at the specs for the Phenom 1055t http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0334812, I don't see 1600 supported. So if my motherboard supports it, is it even worth to get it if my cpu doesn't?

Thanks.

That ram works just fine with the 1055t chip. I am running the non X ripjaws ram at 1600 speed on 2 1055t ,machines. One is overclocked to 3.00ghz with the ram at 1600 speed (it will default to 1333 unless you change the settings in your bios). The other machine is at 3.36ghz.
