i know this board has the numbers that show on the board. does this eliminate the need for one of those mini speakers on the front of your case?

On boards without voice reporting you can hear through your speakers it's nice to hear the audio codes especially if there's a problem so I always hook up the case speaker, it's part of my personal build mantra.

not neccessarily... i mean it doesn't hurt anything, not having it, but then again, it doesn't hurt anything having it too... and btw, the speaker comes with the case, not the mobo if that's what you're asking

if you have a spare speaker (of any size) you could always use that... just hook up the positive and negative appripriately... what's even funnier is hooking up the system speaker up to a stereo or something.. sounds fine, just kinda funny

lol.. now how do you decipher the code if it's a series of flashes since the diagnostics is voice read :D
