the only rpg's I seem to like are the Zelda games, other than that I tried Baldurs Gate but didn't get into it at all

I am a die-hard online first person shooter fan but I want to give rpg's another shot. Morrowind got great reviews when it came out, but should I buy it? Its around $30 and comes with 2 expansion packs, the Tribunal and Bloodmoon

Again this is coming from a person who doesn't play many rpgs

Star Wars: KOTOR is easier to get into, but Morrowind is bigger (huge world), deeper, and more non-linear.

That can be a problem though when you have to literally travel halfway across a continent to do something.

Yeah, getting from A to B in Morrowind can be a pain. But for a single player offline game it is huge. And on modern hardware it probably looks great and runs fast.

I thought the game was mediocre. But I might have been unfairly biased due to horrible memories of daggerfall.

It was great. Another collection that might be worth your time is Neverwinter Nights Platinum, it has both expansion packs. A bit more linear, a bit more like Baldur's Gate, so it might not be to your taste.
