Should I get the 2G Ipod touch?

They jailbroke the 2g finally. I find all my games and apps worthless. It's retarded when my gf is playing on her 2g and she gets to just play it like a Nintendo DS or whatever cuz it has sound but I'm sitting there with my headphones in trying to figure it out. Shrug.

You're going to confuse folks with your notation here. If you mean 2nd generation, then put 2gen or something. We call the new ones 3g phones because they're on the 3G network, and the old ones 2g for the 2G network. It's small I know but it makes a big difference.

Hes talking about the ipod touch so 2G makes perfect sense

i would wait, because there might be a stealth update for the touch/iphone in the coming months (before september - when they officially get refreshed). last year apple came out with the 32GB ipod touch and the 16GB iphone, so they might do the same this year, but who knows for sure...

in either case, september is the month where the ipods will get updated. if you can hold out then, you can score a 2G touch for an awesome price (32GB 2G touch for $299 - you heard it here first). however, if you want one now, you'll definitely be happy with the features it has over the original.

I'd wait a until they detail the iPod 3.0 update. Usually the iPod Touch gets the same update minus the phone bits but, Apple charges touch owners for major firmware updates.
