Should I get Sony or Apple?

So I want to get a mp3 player for chirstmas, I can't decide which one to get.

ipod mini --> small and cool, but battery life sucks

ipod --> too bulky

Sony NW-HD3 ---> best battery life, but expensive
 
Creative Zen Micro - 5gb ipod mini Small & Good Bat Life
Rio Carbon - SMALLER THEN THE IPOD MINI - 5gb, sweet battery life
 
What about a Zen Micro or Rio Carbon? I do like the HD3 though.

LOL, Anubis and I are always on point with the Carbon/Micro recommendations.

anhyone know if that sony actually gets 30hours on a full charge? cause im gonna guess it falls a bit short of that

i know sony recently announced they are losing the attrac battle, but that doesn't take away 99% of the other flaws with their cr@p.
