i just got a IBM laptop which came with Win2K installed. my question is, do you think i should install service pack 2 and the internet explorer 6?

i mean, everything seems fine except when im using internet explorer 5.5, sometimes it crashes, it says "explorer.exe has generated an error and will close, you will need ot restart the system"

anyone fix that or even ever seen it?
what do you all think of the service pack 2? good? bad? and explorer 6? good? bad?

thanks

W2K, SP2 and IE6 here...like it. Pretty stable (ok, VERY stable). IE 6 adds one feature that I love...the automatic disabling of cookies from every site, until *I* tell it to accept cookies, from the site. Works for the paranoid in me.

SP2 has some critical updates...ATA100 support :D...and a number of security patches you'll want.

SP2 is a must! Explorer 6 gave me to many cannot find site screens, went back to Explorer 5.5
