I am happy with my Intel D875PBZ that I got for only $70.00. It is the latest revision and also supports Intel extreme edition and prescott. The thing is that Intel limits the overclock to only 4%. But is it worth it to spend over $140-150 on ebay for the Asus when my CPU, a 3.2C Northwood, is allready fast enough on the intel board at stock speeds and may only get me to a FSB of 220 max on air when i switch to the Asus? I have no use of all the extras on the Asus either. Im just kind of bored and miss the overclocking I used to do with my old Abit Is7 when I replaced it with my new D875PBZ. What got me kind of down is that my IS-7 865PE board gave me a higher 3dmark2001 at 220FSB than my Intel at 4%max FSB.

I've owned the P4C800-E Deluxe and I currently use the D875PBZ 1.5FMB. Personally, I never overclock. I am the type of guy that installs the hardware and expects it to run only at what it is suppose to run. I prefer stability over performance. My ASUS board would sometime make the USB disconnect/reconnect sounds in WinXP, which got very annoying. I never did figure that one out. Randomly, while I was playing games or away at work, you'd hear the USB connect/disconnect sound. I went through two P4C800-E deluxe boards and both of them did this. Though, I later found out that my sticks of Crucial RAM were bad, so that may have done it too. ;) Why did I go with the Intel board? No reason in particular, but I do feel somewhat reassured knowing that Intel made it...don't ask me why, I just do. Heh. No I'm not an Intel fan boi, but I figure if a company made the board and the CPU, I should have less problems. Yes, I know this is not the case, but it could be a psychological thing, too...

Anywho, you seem to have written your post in such a way that you don't really want to upgrade, but it's an option for you, nonetheless. You are looking for reasons to make the switch. I say to keep with what you got, especially since you paid about 1/2 I did for my Intel board. lol ;)

I also run a 3.2C, 2GB PC3200 Crucial (4x512MB), GFFX 5900XT.
