Should I get other certificates other than programming ?

As of next semester, I'm graduating from two years of college in CIS, and I really don't know what to put on my resume for a entry level job. I took 2 C++ classes, I and II, and the same for VB.net. So technically, I have two years of experience ? I was wondering if I should get A+ certified at least, so I can get a decent job at geeksquad, or something in the computer related field ? Right now, I'm at work in the library being lab assistant, and its ok, but its only $8hr part-time, and I don't really feel like this experience is going to help out in the future when I put this job history on my resume. Thanks.

What are your career goals? Your course work seems to indicate that you're interested in software development. In that case, A+ certification isn't going to mean much. If you would rather go into IT work (setting up and/or troubleshooting PCs, down the road setting up and/or managing networks and corporate IT infrastructures), certifications might be more useful.

Career-wise, I think software development has more opportunities for growth, as IT workers are becoming a dime a dozen. It all depends on what you want to do.

In general, you can list your programming classes on your resume, but they don't count as "two years experience".

Thanks. I either need a good job right now or financial aid and scholarships for 4-yr degree. My teacher told me I could get a job with 2-yr degree but I haven't gotten it yet. There's no experience on my resume, just a bunch of things I learn in school, C++, VB, SQl, HTML. I feel like I'm kinda limited.
