I have gotten the new madden every year on the 360 because well...I love football and theres no other options. year to year..its been worth it ( barely ).

*sniff I still miss nfl2k series*.

anyhow I mainly just play single player franchise.

I just could live without it this year. then again maybe it offers just enough to be worth it?
what do you guys say? thumbs up get it or.....meh?

🙂

No,

I am in the same boat, buy the game, play franchise, game sits, trade/resale value is chit..

For the past few years I have been renting . Play through the franchise mode and send it back..

I have been much happier.

If you're a diehard football fan, it is a must. I've owned every Madden for one platform or another since Madden 99 (except 2000). For Xbox 360, I have owned 07, 08, 09, and now 10. I'd say 10 is the best version ever for the Xbox, followed by 09. Both 07 and 08 were garbage. In my all time list of favorite Maddens, 10 would be in the top 5 for sure (along with 05 and 03; I'd have to think about the others).

If you're really on the fence, rent it and see what you think.

Eh, I really enjoy it but that's because I've never owned a Madden game before and haven't even played one since 07. It'll probably seem less awesome when you play every one every year.

I've owned every copy of Madden since Madden 64 (which I believe was 97). Including two copies of 2007 (GC and PS3)

I am not buying 2010. 2009 was a very poorly developed game, I am not wasting another $60 until they make a quality product, which they've yet to really do on the new generation.

I haven't played one since 2002 on the PC. I've played the demos every year and this year I thought it was finally worth 60 dollars. I'm very happy with it.

I got 09 for $20 early in the football season thanks to a pricing error at Toys'R'Us. Doubt I'd pay $60 for the new version. I'm a Vikings fan so it's tempting having Favre on my team, but since I normally just play the single player I could easily just modify the rosters to get the same result.

I think half the appeal of getting Madden at release every year is being able to play online with people. There's very little online activity for the old versions. If you don't play online, all you get are updated rosters (which you can do yourself) and the few extra features they add each year, and you may as well save your money and buy every other year or buy at the end of the season if that's all you want.
