Should I get i7/x58 if it costs the same amount as i7/p55 ?

Hello everybody :)
I have a chance to get i7/x58 combo for the same price as i7/p55 combo.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna do Crossfire or SLI, perhaps sometime in the future if I can get the second HD5850 for cheap.
I'm building a system purely for gaming at 1920x1200 with 4 GB of RAM.

Thank you for your time and input

I see no advantage in getting a lynnfield over a bloomfield, so X58 all the way if they can be had for the same price. :)

Thanks for your reply brother!
and wow, I can't believe I missed that article on Anandtech about comparison of x58 and p55 bundled with 5870 :)

Now that depends on the motherboard offered. There are good ones and there are bad ones. If it was an EVGA P55 FTW vs an MSI x58 I'd skip the x58. That's me because overclocking is a big deal to me.

More details on this would be nice.

Sure, if all was the same, i'd get X58 over P55 too.

But it's never all the same, so what exactly are you looking at?
