MX all the way.

Its cheaper and has a better core. Also if you are thining between an SDR and a MX the MX is faster.

DDR and MX DDR is faster but I want to save the cash.

I have to say go with the 3dprophet ddr-dvi. It is so awesome. I overclocked it and it got scores of the low 6000s and my friend with a geforce 2 gts gets high 6000s or low, very low 7000s.

I was quite frankly disappointed with how small the difference was between his and my card

Overclocking the GeForceMX beyond 210/210 does not provide much of a benefit. However on a Celeron 450A with a GeForceMX at 210/210 overclock, I posted a 3DMark of 3900. Pretty impressive.

On my Tbird 900 I posted just over 6000 3DMarks.

I would not even consider an SDR Geforce for a lower price than a Geforce 2 MX. Why? Because the GF 2MX requires less than a third of the power of the older SDR Geforce, and has a better core and will run much cooler, hence will be more overclockable. I personally would prefer the Geforce 2 MX to the Geforce DDR as well, for the same reasons, not to mention the added cost. It is a no brainer, just make sure you get a good one. I would try to find the best deal on a Guillemot Prophet MX, if I could justify the additional expenditure. My wife thinks the boys and I spend too much time with the two Voodoo 3 3000's and the Banshee already. She doesn't think much of Counterstrike and Unreal Tournament. Gosh, if we had better performance and visual enhancements, she might never see us!

Here's another vote for the MX. I just read two reviews at Dan's Data, links from Anandtech.com and both the Asus and Leadtek and, of course, ASUS, models seem to be fine choices too. One of the Asus models seems to be first on the bandwagon with "twin view", the ability to have more than one display running on the same videocard. Although not as feature-laden as Matrox's offerings, the MX blows the doors off the Matrox in 3D benchmarks....

MX=pretty fine OC'ers...

I think you had your answer before you asked it.... ;)
