Should i GEt CS:S with my setup

I got a Athlon 64 +3000 with 512 ram, and a GF2 MX200 vid card.
Im prob gonna get a 6800 later this month or next month, WIll CS run ok till then or will it be a waste?? i wanna get it from steam tonight haha

stick with 1.6, get source later on, no point of playing with the geforce 2.

why would you have a gf2 with a64 together in the first place?

Upgraded my old computer 300 for A64 MB and ram when i had 900 XP before with 256 ram i said hell yes since my old MB was messed up. i had a gf2 in it

A regular GF 2 wouldn't be to bad, That fact that is a MX series and a 200 at that which is even lower is where you totaly screw your self for this game.

When I was getting fed up with my 6800 Freezing in 1.6, I changed to my 5900 Ultra.

Running CS:S at 10x7 on the 5900U, I never got over 40FPS, and it sank like a rock during any ragdoll/explosion physics.

I sure hope you go ATI, 6800 Ultras aren't a sure thing, although when you get one that works, its cherry.

Give it a shot, just make sure you save the receipt :)
