Should I get an XBOX 360? Or get WII or PS3?

I'm really thinking about getting an XBOX 360... but do you think that I should wait for the price to drop or should I get a WII or PS3? What do you recommend? I had the original XBOX and loved it...

Why in the world would anyone buy a PS3 right now? Absolutely ridiculous.

Since you liked the original XBox so much, I'd say grab a 360. But if you want something very different and entertaining, get a Wii.
 
I played Resistance Fall of Man on the Ps3 and I can say it sucks balls compared to Gears of War on the 360... the games on the Ps3 do not justify it's purchase right now... and the 360 has alot of games worth playing on it... so I would say get a 360 and later if you want get a Ps3 because not a single game on the Ps3 is worth playing.
 
it depends on a lot of things...

Personally I'd wait on the PS3 until there are much more titles available, as well as PS3 consoles themselves.

Who knows when a 360 price drop will happen... If you like online multiplayer then you can't go wrong with a 360. Xbox live is great. It also helps to have an HDTV.

The Wii is fun, and probably a lot better if you like to have friends over. The Wii sports games alone can entertain friends for hours.

I guess it just depends on your personal preference. I'd say look at the games available for the 360/Wii and then decide. And of course if you are on a budget, the Wii is definitely cheaper..


 
Depends on what games you want. If you want the more serious action games, go for a 360. If you want to have fun and play with friends get a Wii. I love my Wii for that reason, I have friends over and we have a good time playing it. But then again, I'm not a serious gamer anymore. I just enjoy playing games.
 
360 has a 90 day warranty and lots of people complaining fo the red rings of death happening. Personnaly Id wait for both systems to mature a bit and become more stable and let other people be the testers till they work out all the bugs.

Just get the Wii, cheaper and can have a lot more fun while you wait for the other two to mature and come down even more in price. IMO of course, just what Im gonna do. Even at $300~ for a 360 that is a lot of green to shell out to have over heat and mess up in a few months time, be out of warranty, and be screwed with all them games and no system to play them on unless you go shell out another $300~

With the Wii it has a lot of games and plays all the older Gamecube games too so lots of fun to be had.

Look at reviews of the games you want to play on Gamespot. If you like eye candy then Xbx360 or PS3 (Wii doesn't have the power). If you like Zelda and Mario then wii.

Also consider backwards compatibility. Xbox360 is stuck at about 1/3 of Xbox1 games and can't run new xbox 1 games until emulator profiles are created. PS3 has at least 95% BC out of the box and only needs fixups for the 5%. Wii is GameCube 2.0 so it runs all GC games.
 
XBOX360. ftw. but its tempting to wait for the 'new' version of it to come out, hopefully no 'red rings o'death'.
I have a Wii and I am super disappointed with the online part of it. Its crap and never wants to connect, is slow and takes multiple try, usually.
PS3 has NO game and NO online so, now its stupid to buy one of those, IMO.
 
I have both. Not impressed with the ps3. Was going to ebay it but deided to give my niece and nephew a really nice christmas present even they are both rude, ungrateful pieces of ******.

1. If you like fun games and don't care about awesome graphics, get a Wii.
2. If you want a large variety of games, more adult-oriented, and also want lots of online content like older games, music, movies, and network gameplay, get a 360.
3. If you want the best graphics period, get a PS3.

Actually the PS3 and 360's graphics are pretty close, although the PS3 is better (my friend has both). At this point, if I were to get a new console it would be a 360. So - what are you looking for in a console?
 
I can't fathom why people would consider a PS3 right now. Online is half-baked, no library, and sky high pricing.

360 is starting to (finally) hit its stride in terms of games. GoW, R6V to name a couple.

The Wii looks like the shizzle. Might pick one up for the family for Christmas.
 
I'd get a 360 or a Wii. You can get a Premium for $200 after rebate at Microcenter right now.

I wouldn't even bother with a PS3 unless you are really into Blu-Ray movies. The games out right now just aren't worth the cost of the system. The third-party publisher games are done just as well or better on the 360 right now.
