Should I get an upconverting DVD player for my LC42SB45U or stick with my old one?

Would it be advantageous to get an upconverting DVD player with HDMI for this HDTV, or use my old DVD player with RGB output? Or should I just wait until blu-ray players become sufficiently inexpensive.

OTOH, used upscaling players are $25-$30 if you buy used.

buy one, see if you can see a difference, if you can keep it, if not return it.

If it doesn't have a Reon HQV or Quedo chip, you probably won't notice much of a difference.
