Should i get a nintendo switch or an occulus quest?

Potentially for Christmas or even before that

Help me weigh the pros and con's of both

I reviewed them both and they were dead even, but I only reviewed them on two things....

1. You can play while in the Bathtub ====TIE
-Switch-Not waterproof Occulus Quest-Not waterproof
2. You can play while driving ====TIE
-Switch-Works while driving Occulus Quest- Works while driving

Depends. VR is super-fun. But there are more high-quality games for the Switch...Mario Odyssey is an amazing game.

Many games in the Oculus require space to move. It's also more limiting in public, so it depends on how much you travel. If you're on the bus or train for long periods of time, it's hard to beat a Switch to keep you from being bored.

VR is an experience though. Beatsaber is WAY fun. So I think it really depends on how you plan on using it. If you want to lay in bed at night or lay on the couch & play games, I think the Switch is better, or even the Switch Lite if you're only doing mobile usage. VR is a little bit more of a chore to play, if that makes sense.

Another consideration is how much time you want to put into it. Playing 5 hours of the Switch will be easier than VR. I would also give game quality to the Switch. VR though is a new experience, Switch is basically the same experience with new games.

Just get both.

Switch and PSVR are my most played consoles right now. Xbox One collects dust. And if I didn't have PSVR, I would have hardly touched my PS4 over the past couple years. I think other than VR games, God of War is the only game I've played the past 2 years.

Switch I play all the time. I'm currently playing through Link's Awakening and it owns. I also take it with me when I travel and it makes flights go by super fast.
