Should I get a new CPU?

I just got the AMD64 3200+ from Newegg and it's still unused. There is some discoloring and it looks like there might be some scratches in the center. Should I just order a new one now and RMA this one?
 
you mean the heatspreader is discolored and there "might" be some scratches on it (I dunno what you mean by might, there either are scratches or there arent)? The heatspreader scratches (as long as they are not deep) shouldnt make any difference. I'd test it and if it works, it works. If it doesnt then you can always RMA it as DOA anyway.
