Should I get a Garmin Nuvi 350?

I am in the market for a gps unit for my car. The garmin 350 has caught my eye because of the price and performance. I know Garmin has released newer models since the 350 but is it worth the additional cost for the newer ones? Do they add anything significant that I might want?

Thanks,

Tri

Could you be a little less specific?

To the OP, I bought my wife a Garmin NAV system about 6 months ago and she loves it. I've used it a few times myself and have no complaints...we need to get an update to the maps though to keep up with recent construction.

I just got the 360, awsome unit! If you post me a link to the differences, I'll tell you which ones are worth having :)

I have heard great things about this unit and I have been looking into getting this exact model. To be ultimately fair what I have seen with this unit is its very accurate as far as street names and finding a correct path, however I have heard that it doesn't always pick the the smartest/fastest route, but a GPS can't really know EVERY shortcut, can it?

My wife got a Nuvi 360 for Christmas, and she loves it!

Look here for a comparison and take a look around the boards.

I have a Garmin and love it. My first nav system. I had originally intended on getting a Pioneer AVIC-D2 (in-dash) but changed my mind at the last minute and figured I'd save some money, while also enjoying the option of putting it in whatever car I was going to drive.

The only time it's steered me wrong is around the DC beltway -- in particular, the Alexandria area, since they have been working on and changing the freaking roads once every few months.

Other than that, it's been great. I've found so many things close to home I didn't even know were there. On my 4 hour trips to visit my family, I've used it to find alternate routes to get me out of backed up traffic on I-95. It's great. Definitely worth the investment.

according to the only link posted: "the only difference is the bluetooth capability on the 360."

Not much to say about that... do you want your unit to be able to call destinations using your phone or do you want to dial...

My dad has had a 350 for about a year now (just guessing, but it seems right) and he loves it.

The name ?Garmin? is combination of the two founders? names ?Gar? being the first three letters of Burrell?s first name, and ?-Min? being Kao?s first name.
