Should I get a credit card to get my car's transmission fixed?

Should I get a card to help me fix my transmission? what would be the best one?

or if i do get the loan from the shop's financing, would a credit card have a better rate? or the loan?

ps i'd probably be able to pay 150-200 a month to pay it back, at the most.

the cost is between 1500-2000 to get it rebuilt

You might be able to get a 0% APR on purchases for a certain amount of time credit card. Most credit card companies have them, its a matter of getting approved.

Wouldn't a warranty be better?

no cause the cheapest ones i found cost just as much as getting the transmission fixed. nothing else is wrong with the car

Damn My tranny just went out also and I'm in the same boat

Apparently quasarsky missed the irony.

Thankfully, we have all spectrums of the bell curve of intelligence represented.

i've already seen that. but i'd still have to pay for the cost of having it put in my car. it'd be quicker and faster just to let the shop rebuild mine. the cost will be about the same. the only way it would be cheaper is if i knew someone i could pay like 150-200 to do it for me and i don't. and i wouldn't want someone getting shortchanged like that.
