ive been debating this for a long time, and ive been hearing different things. so here it is, once and for all. the final question.

is the difference NOTICABLE? (im using the normal composite AV inputs currently)

i dont really care for the technical aspects or differences, i just want to know if its worth the change. ive got a 20" sharp flat screen TV, and im thinking of getting a component video input/output cable for my PS2 to watch DVDs and play my games on it.

the TV doesnt have "comb filter" whatever that may be. now, it looks remarkbly good right now, but im no video expert. i mean, it has to make some difference right? i mean, the CABLES are like $50. that might not be a lot for you video experts out there, but ive never grown accustomed to paying $50 for a set of cables.

probably not.

I don't think any progressive scan games exist on the ps2.

You'd be better off with svideo (if there was any difference in picture quality)

The s-video cable makes a HUGE difference. Never seen it on components to compare.

arent the component videos better then s-video? i always thought that, because i thought the HDTVs and everything and the home theatres all used component video.
